Queen Amelia Akari [CE]

Phew! Finally it's done, and just in time - my entry to Draw My Character - ENDS TOMORROW 6 PM CEST
contest, featuring the beautiful Amelia Akari by Pandalifer chilling out in her castle garden at night time... in a swing above a pond because why not!

Even though I noticed the contest pretty early on, I was really busy for a couple months and had originally intended to draw a simple portrait of her face, but once I checked back to see how the contest was doing, I saw just how many, and how good entries there were already. I decided to step up my game a bit, and honestly, I'm super happy with the result and I'm so glad I went on to make a full body portrait instead. Yeah, I still got some learning to do when it comes to backgrounds (and roses) but truth be told, I really ran out of time with this piece. The wrist pain is coming back slowly but surely, and due to some issues with the tablet not working properly I missed two days of drawing this week, which I had intended to dedicate on this piece only. I may re-work the background a bit after the contest is over, but for now this will have to do. All in all though, happy with the result, and I really loved the character and hope I did her justice!
